Tips for upgrading SWIRL SEARCH

1. Update the repo

git pull

2. Get new packages (if any)

pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Migrate swirl.py and swirl_server/settings.py

• Miigrate any changes to the SWIRL_SERVICES structure
• Disable rabbitmq if it is expected to be running
• Configure django to listen to the right host, e.g. -b 0.0.0.0 -p 8000

5. Setup SWIRL:

Quick Start: Setup SWIRL

⭐ Skip the creation of the superuser; any previously created one will continue to work

6. Migrate SearchProviders if required:

• Change GenericQueryProcessor to AdaptiveQueryProcessor - there is an issue with the GenericQueryProcessor (https://github.com/sidprobstein/swirl-search/issues/67)
• Change GenericResultProcessor to MappingResultProcessor
• Add NOT=True/False and/or NOT_CHAR=- to the query_mappings

No restart is required for SearchProvider changes.
