Successfully installed, but receive an error message when opening #205

This project has not been updated in years and needs Java 8. If your Java version is newer than that you will get that error dialog. At least I did. My Java version default is 11. There is no option in this app to select a jdk, at least I could not find any. I had to go though loops and hoops with my environment variables to get the default to be 8 instead of 11. |
This is the error message which appears after I click on "Vega" (finding it by typing into search). The application fails to open, and this is the only window which appears instead, detailing the following message:
