What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open the editor with one single pane
    1. Create a new file (untitled1.py*), don't save, but you may edit
    2. choose to tile vertically or horizontally What is the expected output? What do you see instead? It should tile the editor. However, a modal(!) dialog pops up "untitled1.py is unavailable (this file may have been removed, moved or renamed outside Spyder). Do you want to close it?"
If you choose to answer 'No', you will be ignored and presented with the same question again. Eventually, you will be forced to choose to answer 'Yes' (close it) but, thankfully, you are given a chance to save the hitherto unnamed file. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Spyder 2.0.8, on Ubuntu 10.04
