Esc key doesn't clear a line in Ipython console #590

When you right click on an ipython console, you find an option called "Clear line" and its associated keyboard shortcut "Esc". Currently, hitting Esc on a console does nothing, but selecting Clear line effectively removes the text from the current line. I would like to see Esc working in this case.

That's because the right shortcut is Shift+Escape: see issue #392 .
