Python processes started by Spyder do not seem to be killed upon quitting Spyder, as seen in the Activity Monitor and in the Dock.

I'll have to investigate this further to determine what is causing this issue, but I do not see the same behavior when launched from conda or bootstrap; I think it is only the macOS standalone application.
