2 popup windows during lauch

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Launch spyder What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I see 2 "popup" windows (with the spyder logo) during loading instead of 1.

Please provide any additional information below

. The text on the two windows is different and the first one seems to not change.

The first window is stuck with the text "Initialisation...".

My idea was to reduce the perceived startup time by creating our splash screen before instantiating the MainWindow class. But I incorrectly led MainWindow to create another splash instead of using the first one.

I'll create a PR for you to test.

This issue was updated by revision daedd58b6ec1 .

• I incorrectly led MainWindow to create another splash screen instead of
  using the one created before instantiating this class.

Status: Fixed
