Cannot launch Spyder 2.2.4 installed from DMG on Mac OS X.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Launch Spyder 2. 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected the GUI to appear, but I get an error saying, "Please Check Sypder installation requirements: PyQt 4.4+ (or PySide 1.1.1+) is required." I then get another pop-up that says, "Spyder Error" and I can click "Open Console" or "Terminate". In the console I get: 9/27/13 12:03:12.545 PM Spyder[5618]: Spyder Error and 9/27/13 12:03:14.357 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.79882[573]: ([0x0-0x110110].org.spyder-ide[5618]) Exited with code: 255 What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Spyder v2.2.4, installed from DMG
   Mac OS X 10.8.5

Sorry for the ugly crash. It seems I messed up my build environment (because I'm trying a new strategy for 2.3) although things worked well in my test machine.

I'll try to upload a new image ASAP (I hope tomorrow).

Is this also the reason to not see 2.4.4.dmg not in the featured downloads and for the warning that "This file has been deprecated. Another file would probably be better. Do you want to continue?" when attempting to download 2.2.4.dmg?

Yes, sorry but I had to do that. I don't want people to download a file we know is faulty. I'm working hard to fix the situation and I plan to release a new DMG this weekend along with 2.2.5.
