Become a sponsor to Sybille
I am active in the TYPO3 CMS community as contributor to the TYPO3 CMS core and the TYPO3 CMS documentation. I used to be an official member of the TYPO3 Documentation Team.
My current focus
- my extensions (brofix, migrate2composer, ...)
- TYPO3 core bugfixes and small features (focus on usability)
- Improve TYPO3 system extension linkvalidator
- add Pull Requests to 3rdparty extensions for bugfixes and to make them ready for next TYPO3 release
- Improve TYPO3 documentation (this is less of a focus now, because the documentation is already pretty great due to combined effort of TYPO3 community and TYPO3 Documentation Team)
My repositories
The repositories I am not owner of but most active in are
- TYPO3 CMS
- repositories in TYPO3-Documentation
My TYPO3 extensions can be found on packagist:
Why you may want to sponsor me
I contribute to TYPO3 for free and mostly in my spare time. I have a full-time job and do not necessarily need extra money.
Still, sponsoring me will help me to contribute. I will use the money for:
- attend events, such as TYPO3 camps
- finally launch a blog ...
In addition, sponsoring me gives me recognition for my work and helps keep me motivated. Motivation is an important factor in contribution as it can be frustrating at times.
It is ok to give symbolic, small amounts!
I run on air, caffeine and inspiration.
My background
I work as a TYPO3 administrator and developer at a university in Germany. I have a degree in Applied Computing Science.
My motivation to contribute
The long term motto of TYPO3 has been "Inspiring people to share".
I would like to add: "Inspiring people to care": Care about the software, care about the documentation, care about others who use it. Make it better!
My motivation is to contribute to a system I use daily, to collaborate with others and improve my knowledge.
TYPO3 is a CMS based on PHP that has been evolving rapidly. The release cycles have introduced a number of deprecations, breaking changes and new features.
The system has been adopting standards and been getting rid of legacy and unmaintainable code. While this is good for TYPO3, it has not been easy to keep up with this fast pace.
I strive to help in making it easier to start with TYPO3 and love working with it.
I would like to be a part of achieving this goal.
