Open Source Contributions

I've contributed to various open-source projects, from adding features to epubjs-react-native and Leech.py to improving documentation for projects like Expo, Dart, Chrome Extensions (#5846, #6818, and #6819), Hanko Docs, and Tina CMS. I've also made contributions to projects like Skitter API and ngTechEvents. These experiences taught me a lot about collaboration, code quality, and the importance of good documentation.

FicImage

FicImage is an application designed to enhance the reading experience of FicHub epubs. With FicImage, users can easily add missing images to their FicHub epubs. My work on Leech.py actually inspired this project! Built with Python.

CrossRename

CrossRename is a tool that helps make your file names work perfectly with your computer. It doesn't matter if you use Linux, Windows, or both. CrossRename makes sure your file names follow your computer's rules, so everything runs smoothly. Built with Python.

AspectMatic

AspectMatic is a plugin that automates aspect ratio calculations for developers.

Both versions are built with TypeScript, Prettier, and Tailwind CSS. The Figma plugin uses Create Figma Plugin and Preact, while the Penpot version uses React.

Future Endeavors

While my current setup has some limitations, I've got big dreams for the future. Here are a few projects I'd love to dive into:

Mobile

Hey! Mobile development is on pause right now - my setup takes 40 minutes to build React Native apps, and EAS free tier queues are nearly an hour long (at least the last time I checked). Once I can upgrade to a paid EAS plan, I'll dive back in. For now, here's what I'm excited to build when I can:

• Ebook Reader: A custom ePub reader born from my dissatisfaction with current options (and my contribution to epubjs-react-native!). Still needs a name, though—naming things isn't my strong suit. 😄

• StatusSnip: A mobile app to trim WhatsApp status videos for seamless sharing, built with React Native.

• SnapQR: A mobile app for QR code scanning and generation, combining simplicity and functionality with React Native.

Browser Extensions

• Tales Trove: A browser extension that saves links to your favourite fictional stories, supporting FanFiction.net and Archive Of Our Own.

• FontCache: An extension for collecting and managing fonts from web pages, with plans to use IndexedDB for storage.
