If no license, the repo is still protected by copyright. Smea is going to sue your asses to oblivion. |
As I pointed out, he at least has some guidance on how the program can be used. I merely suggested that a more standard license may be better, but as is there is something akin to a license already. |
I was just joking about the suing part of course. He has talked about licenses in the past and he simply is not a fan of them. He prefers the honor code or somesuch. |
I saw that the Readme at least grants permissions for copying and using the code with attribution of credit, but usually projects place a license in a separate, obvious file, like
LICENSE
or something similar. Something like one of the BSD license (3 or 2 clause one I think) may be a good match to the current permissions.I will say, at least this you do give permission to use this code somewhere in the Readme. Most other 3DS repositories don't, and some just outright copy/steal code.
