Skills performed in combat when in parties as a "client" do not function properly under certain conditions. This generally also applies to skills that have been upgraded.
To reproduce this:
Form a party with another player
Have the non-leader player learn and set a new skill (or skills)
Perform the skills in combat
The expected behavior is the skills to function normally. They appear normal for the player using them, but damage, elemental buildup and the like do not work. The party leader usually do not see the skills being used or cast either.
This can be "fixed" by reforming the party after members have learned their skills. Disband, reform, and it should work again.
