I want to play a media file not from the beginning, but from the fifteenth second. How can I do this?

You should use liq_cue_in prefix.

You can annotate this file inside the playlist (e.g. . m3u):

annotate:liq_cue_in=15.0:/your/path/to/file.flac

Or within single operator:

single_file = single('annotate:liq_cue_in=15.0:/your/path/to/file.flac')

Not sure that I understand your use case. Maybe this can be done via telnet with the power of some scripts and not trivial functions but I can't think of an option right away.
