Why is use_self deprecated? #11960

Description

I couldn't find the reason for deprecation anywhere. I think it's a more useful lint than what the documentation suggests, so it'd be a shame to not have it. (Using Self is much better in case of future refactoring.) Any discussion/chance to get it back?

use_self was moved to nursery due to having too many false positives: #4863.
