call_docval_func has been removed in the latest dev version of hdmf (hdmf-dev/hdmf#1198). This causes import errors for neuroconv, which uses ndx-events 0.2.0 on several interfaces (https://github.com/catalystneuro/neuroconv/actions/runs/12152927667/job/33890176686). Since ndx-events 0.4.0 has not been finalized/released, we should make a patch release of ndx-events to remove call_docval_func.
