What happened?

When using better bibtex to create the citation keys, the Chinese name is always translated to pinyin.

You have Force citation key to plain text on (it is on by default), which applies the default transliteration; for CYK characters, the default is pinyin. If you turn it off, you should get CYK characters in the key.
