1.0 Release Candidate 1

No major changes, but with increased testing, refactorings, edited readme, we are preparing for the 1.0 release.

No major changes. With increased test coverage, refactorings, updated docs, dockerutils is at 1.0 level of stability.

run-notebook + travis ci build
