crashing driver or usb dac

I've been checking some issues with:

• SMSL SU-1 USB DAC
• Windows 10
• Squeezelite-X
• ASIO

behaviour:
USB device disappears on 2nd/3rd app start

My guess is that the ASIO drivers gets confused when sample rates are probed (768k+). What do you think?
I think it also happened with squeezelite-x64/asio if I don't specify the -r param, just less often.
