Ever since installing Karabiner via brew, my external keyboard (Qwertykeys QK100, ANSI, US English) has been typing §/± instead of backtick/tilde.
All visible settings in System Settings and Karabiner point to a US English ANSI layout.
The problem started when Karabiner was installed, and persisted even when it was uninstalled.
The Qwertykeys software shows the key as correctly being mapped to backtick/tilde.
I am using the newest macOS version on a MBP 14 M3 Pro.
EDIT: Current workaround is to use my keyboard's software to remap /~ to NUBS, then use Karabiner to remap NUBS to /~. No idea where the problem could be coming from, but it all started when I first installed Karabiner.

Similar issue: Have a British keyboard internal MBP 2018 on Sequoia. §/~ are flipped and only resolved when I set keyboard type in Karabiner to ANSI rather than the ISO that it should be.
