While diffing on the Diff Tool it is not clear who modified the files:

Maybe we could add an option to view item history from this dialogue?

ie. There would be a button for 'view item history' so it's an opt in cost and it would show a list of checkpoints of when it has been affected.

Although, that said the person who made the change may not have made the checkpoint but I do think the history will help a lot still
