Feature Request

Bringing the discussion over from this thread.

The Particle Dashboard

  • Should allow the user to input localhost urls of either protocol, http or https, with a port number as a valid field for oAuth redirects so that developers can test and develop applications running on localhost.

For example:

Currently, a developer has to deploy a application with a bound https domain to test application development. A staging environment like this is great, but it's an additional step that may not be necessary in all cases.

Other oAuth providers, such as GitHub for example, allow localhost redirects:

I hope Particle will too :)

Is there any update on this?

Most OAuth providers allow this and I think most devs would love being able to use localhost for quick development/testing of a new project.

Is this issue pretty much abandoned?
