I was wondering what the reason for deprecating postPackageCreate is when the replacement given doesn't perform any of the same functionality. Also, is there an alternative that could be used to perform a similar behavior if the intention is to deprecate postPackageCreate?

I find postPackageCreate quite useful, and would prefer to not see it go away.
