  • Decision was made to kill accounts service and use the reva user provider
  • The existing oCIS user mgmt (glauth) should become a drop-in replacement

Todo

  • Organize session with team and CERN to validate the concept
  • Make a proposal (code) to add accounts API to CS3API spec
  • Make a proposal (code) to add roles API to CS3API spec
  • Make a proposal (code) to add settings API to CS3API spec
  • If proposal accepted:
    • Migrate parts of the oCIS code to the REVA user provider
    • Move accounts code and frontend to glauth
    • Move indexer code to glauth
  • Password reset for users
  • User editing
  • UI for group management
  • Map oCIS permissions to REVA grants / discuss to find alignment with CERN
  • Discussion on how much responsibility we can shift to IdPs
  • Create whitepaper to describe architecture
