Admin can't delete groups #1685
Comments
Hi, owncloud will automatically delete the group if there is no users in it. But yeah, it cannot modify the group name :( |
Yes it will, but...that is also not all that intuitive either. Therein is the challenge when you have a lot of groups and users that are being managed. |
Agree, will be better if we can have a group editing page or related buttons next to groups' name. |
The easiest would be to put an "x" on the right of the admin page group lists, both in the create new user, and the existing user group drop downs, so that people can create new groups, select them and delete them in the same interface. |
i have a same problem. Now,this issue to fix? |
This is more than a simple change, it will be addressed through the redesign of the Users management #1927. Sorry for the issues meanwhile. |
Admins can create new groups no problem, but there is no way to modify or delete a group once it has been created. If I typed it wrong, then I am stuck with the group USRES instead of USERS, and if I add USERS as a second group, then I have two groups. As an admin, I really need to be able to modify the name of or delete groups.
