I've read the various comments about Alexa. My questions is a bit different. I have a spotify premium account, and it works fine for streaming on Alexa. I can ask Alexa to play a song, artist, playlist, etc., and it starts playing -- on Alexa. HOWEVER, I would like to leverage the Alexa voice-assistant capability to dynamically listen to something via voice request, but have it play via MA on my DLNA-connected music player (which does work via the Lovelace UI). Any thoughts or suggestions?
I wondered if there was a way to watch for whatever Alexa was playing, then grab that stream and route it to my speaker via MA, and simultaneously stop it playing on Alexa. To be clear, this avoids needing to manually, in advance, setup a defined playlist in HA or MA.
@marcelveldt replied on Discord to this question as: <@778851414725885952> your request sounds like an ability to control Music Assistant though a Voice Assistant like Google Assistant. I'm not 100% sure we already have an existing feature request for that but that would be great indeed. Just ask Google/Alexa to play a specific playlist/artist/genre on a player and it will issue the command to MA. partially you can already do this by Home Assistant intents and scripts and maybe even some IFTTT magic but a built-in solution would be great. I'd suggest browsing our feature requests section if the request is already there, if so raise your vote or else create a new request so people can vote for it.
