Themes - Settings

I'd love to help out with the Linux Mint project. My programming skills are sub-par, but I'm fairly competent at learning tools/procedures and adapting for a specific project. At this point, I have no idea where to get started. That said, I have a request for the Themes application. Several themes I've played with for Cinnamon have a script that the theme developer requests the user run, usually in the .themes//options.py or /settings.py or whatever.

How about a standard with these options, and a button in the themes app if the script is present?

Something like this has come up before. You aren't going to see a button added for running random 3rd party scripts. That's just asking for a security issue.

But if a theme developer needs additional options, perhaps a generic Theme settings dialog? Whatever happens, ATM, themes devs are asking people to run scripts already installed on their system that were downloaded using the theme manager to adjust settings. All a button does is make it easier for people like me, but it doesn't stop anyone from running a script as requested by the developer. Also, considering that the themes were available in the themes app stock on mint, I was under the perhaps "naive" assumption that these were quite safe.
