If nFPM builds packages for archlinux why aren't these packages used in AUR?

Actually, I expected that if I build a package for archlinux in the nfpms section, it will just be used in the aurs section similar to furies. But in fact, aurs works like brews or winget and this is a bit confusing.
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

AUR contains the recipes to build the packages with makepkg, so users can install build the packages locally and install (which is what most of the tooling around AUR does AFAIK):

yay -Syu the-package

The packages nFPM builds are the final packages, which you can install directly with something like

pacman -U the-package.pkg.tar.zst
