Hi there! We are enjoying using Discussions on our repos, interestingly the private codebases, not community ones. The main feature that makes this better than issues for us is threaded per-question discussions, although the top level categories, exposed as they are in the UI, also feel better than tags for issues did.
The one thing we miss, though, is the sense of a discussion being over or deprioritized in the same way an issue can be closed. Locking a discussion would help if these were public convos, but in our use case, everyone is a contributor. Thus locking is ineffective.
Our current workaround is to lock and then to provide the search param
is:unlocked
when browsing Discussions at the top level. Would be helpful for our use case—and others I imagine, too—if this were the default (the way it is, e.g. for open vs closed Issues and PRs), or at least if this option were promoted from search param to Discussions UI button. Thanks!
