AV4EV go-kart simulator
Started working on the digital twin of the Purdue Grand Prix Track at Purdue University where the AKS competition will take place in late May. This environment will allow the team to test various perception and planning algorithms in a race track environment
Successfully recreated the main track and ready for testing. This includes a race track with realistic asphalt textures and goal markings, line boundaries and orange cones on both sides of the track, and everything set on a large grass field
Other parts of the track environment that will be added shortly: the pit stop lane of the race track, a small bridge that crosses over the track, fences that go around the track environment, other objects such as trees
SodaSim team also successfully added ackermann_control ROS2 interface to the simulator
