SDK 2.0 Documentation Plan

Depends on #4125

While the SDK 2.0 is not yet released, the main READMEs should remain unchanged and document the 1.x behavior. When the 2.x alphas/betas/release candidates are released, the main READMEs should be updated with a link to the next README file. The README files in next should be very clear that they refer to the development 2.x line.

This issue is stale because it has been open 60 days with no activity. Remove stale label or comment or this will be closed in 14 days.

We have done this until we merged next into main #5284 - now main contains the updated documentation.

• write a migration guide [docs] write SDK 2.0 migration guide #5361

so I'll close this issue as completed. 🙂
