Cannot delete empty media blocks on item edit

On current branch of master*, empty/newly added media blocks cannot be deleted using the trash can icon.

If the media block has a required field, it won't let you save without something in that field, so your options are either to click back and lose all changes or add in something which works but you don't want and then delete it by re-editing the item.

*Shared install on dev server is on current branch of master if you want to try yourself.
