A few staging related issues holding up next release

Problem

Logging in from scratch as user greg results in a "serious error banner" that shouldn't appear at all. Also, if it appears, it shouldn't have HTML inlined to it:

And a few these invalid height peppered throughout:

Solution

I don't know how serious the invalid height errors are (I think I've seen them before), but the rest of the errors need to be fixed before we can release the next release.
