Steps to reproduce

1. I enter the manga I want to see
2. I select the chapter
3. I swipe to read
4. The next image of the manga does not appear or is glitched

Expected behavior

I wait a few minutes and hope that maybe the image loads but nothing happens, I reload the chapter and it doesn't work, I was hoping that maybe this way the chapter would appear

Actual behavior

The image of the manga disappeared or while I read there are parts of the chapter where there is empty space, which is where the image does not appear

I found the same problem as you, but when I used J2K which still had the 32 bit color off feature, the problem as you explained didn't occur, so the conclusion was "there are some devices that may not be compatible with the new 32 Bit color permanent feature" I hope Yokai returns quickly this feature.

I doubt it's that, they reported that the page load properly on Mihon (I assume 0.16.5), which also have 32-bit perma enabled.

The option to disable it completely removed from upstream's API so it can't be easily done.

Probably safe to say this issue is fixed now (01fcd7d, fd73958, c66bf9b), you can try the fix on 1.9.0 Beta 4. Feel free to open a new issue if the bug still happened.
