When contributing to this repository, please first discuss the change you wish to make via issue, email, or any other method with the owners of this repository before making a change.
Please note we have a code of conduct, please follow it in all your interactions with the project.
- To submit a successful Pull Request ensure your improvement aligns with the following guidelines:
- The project has a preference for minimal reliance on external python packages. Try to aim for solutions that do not rely on external python packages. Only code improvements that have a well-reasoned and justified need for external package reliance will be accepted.
- Each new function added must be accompanied by related tests to ensure successful build passes and 100% code coverage.
- Code improvements must be python 2 and 3 compatible.
- Ensure any install or build dependencies are removed before the end of the layer when doing a build.
- Update the README.md and CHANGELOG.md with details of changes to the interface, this includes new environment variables, exposed ports, useful file locations and container parameters.
- Increase the version numbers in any examples files, the README.md and CHANGELOG.md to the new version that this Pull Request would represent. The versioning scheme we use is SemVer.
- You may merge the Pull Request in once you have the sign-off of the project owner, or if you do not have permission to do that, you may request the project owner to merge it for you.
