Brief description of your issue

When running any winget command, the spinner briefly shows and then I am returned to the prompt that appears no longer to work. The color of the text also changes to blue.

Steps to reproduce

Run any winget command.

Expected behavior

Execution of command.

Actual behavior

Returned to broken command prompt with no result

Environment

Windows: Windows.Desktop v10.0.22631.3235
Package: Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller v1.17.10691.0

I've upgraded to the Win 11 developer preview, yet this still persists.

@fonnesbeck - What is the output of winget --info? Have you tried the steps in the troubleshooting guide for when WinGet exits with no message?

I solved the issue by force-installing (Windows restricted me from installing it with the graphical interface) an updated release. Will close this.
