In language [zh-Hans] and [zh-Hant], no translation found for “recipe”. Some extensions (like "latex-workshop") translate "recipe" as "配方", which is not accurate.

I suggest adding a translation for "recipe" as "配置" or other Chinese both in [zh-Hans] and [zh-Hant].

Hope consider my suggestion. With regards.

@TylerLeonhardt could you help me locate this string?

@zeyu10 The latex-workshop translation issues should be open on their repo here:
https://github.com/James-Yu/LaTeX-Workshop

Is there a place in VS Code or a Microsoft published extension where you see bad translations?

@TylerLeonhardt I would like to add translation for the word "recipe" globally in VS Code, not just for a single extension.

@TylerLeonhardt Thanks for your reminder! I have already opened a PR to "LaTeX-Workshop".

That's not how translations work. That string is contributed by the extension and so the extension must localize it. VS Code doesn't arbitrarily translate strings because:

  • an extension may intentionally want it to be in English (or another language)
  • there may be multiple valid translations for the word and we would not want to pick the right one
