Description of the new feature/enhancement

Adjust default styling of Quake Window

Unless I'm missing something, there is no documented way to adjust the styling of the drop-down Quake window. For example, I would like my Quake dropdown window to take up 80% of screen height by default, not just 50%. Even if I resize the quake window from 50% to a different size, after I close the window and re-open it via the Hotkey it will resize back to the default of 50%.

If there is currently a way to do this, I'd love to know. Thanks!

You know, there's not a good thread for this right now, so congrats! this is now the thread. We should use this to specifically track "snapped size" as a percentage. With #9992 and "Allow windows to be docked to other sides of the display" in #8888, we'll want to let users configure this.

One thing I would like to include on the quake styling is an option to open the quake window from the bottom of the screen instead of the top. Most of the things everyone uses on the computer have a focus on the top of the screen, like websites or text files that start from top to bottom.

I think that having the quake open from below would increase productivity by allowing you to use the terminal while looking for something else on a web page or text document.

Would also be cool to implement a way to open the window from the sides of the screen as well. Probably useful for people that have ultrawide monitors.

@MatheusPese You know, I had that in the original spec, and it's tracked in #8888, though I'm not sure it's got it's own atomic issue tracking that.

I have quake mode wt window set up to start at the logon. Setting the default height either by a parameter or as a global default setting would be nice to have.

Also starting the quake window hidden (But that's likely for other issue/thread).
