Windows Terminal version (or Windows build number)

10.0.19042.1052

Other Software

No response

Steps to reproduce

System with two monitors (1x 1920x1080 and 1x 4k)

  1. Open Windows Terminal on the 1920x1080 monitor
  2. Minimize Windows Terminal
  3. Reopen Windows Terminal

Expected Behavior

The size of the window should be the same as before minimizing the window

Actual Behavior

The width of the Window increases. This does not happen when you minimize and reopen Windows Terminal on the 4K screen.

Having this same issue with a 4k laptop and a 1080p external monitor:

That's mental. I haven't ever seen anything like that. I'd doubt that specifically a 4K display itself would cause that. Presumably it would repro with any resolution high-dpi display, but that isn't happening with my 125% display.

Is the 4K monitor the primary display?

What version of the Terminal are you running?

The 4K monitor is an build in laptop display but is not configured as the primary display.

Well that rules out any of the quake mode code at least. Dang, well, I have no idea what might cause this.
