Microsoft PowerToys version

0.68.1

Installation method

PowerToys auto-update

Running as admin

No

Area(s) with issue?

FancyZones

Steps to reproduce

  • PowerToys is started and FancyZones is switched on
  • UltiMaker Cura is started (tried with version 5.2.1) and Settings Guide plugin is installed.
  • Open Settings Guid from context menu in one of the Cura Settings.
  • Try to close Settings Guide again.
  • Cura freezes and Windows only allows me to terminate the program

✔️ Expected Behavior

I expected the Settings Guide window to close and be able to continue working with Cura.

❌ Actual Behavior

The Cura program window freezes and Windows only offers me to terminate Cura. As soon as I switch off FancyZones Cura unfreezes again and works normally. When I switch on FancyZones again Cura freezes again.

It is not sufficient to put the Cura executable in the exception list of FancyZones.

Other Software

UltiMaker Cura 5.2.1
Settings Guide plugin 2.9.2

This bug has also been reported in the Settings Guide repository: Ghostkeeper/SettingsGuide#111

The issue seems to have been mitigated in Cura 5.4 by using a newer version of the Qt framework.
