Describe the bug

Theme doesn't match system theme.

Expected behavior

If my system is set to light theme I expect the application to use the light theme.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Arch Linux
  • uname: Linux laptop 6.12.9-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri, 10 Jan 2025 00:39:41 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • packaging: Flatpak
  • source: flathub
  • DE: KDE 6.2.5

Additional context

I think ice implements all the necessary portals to be able to detect the system theme (I could be wrong).

I'm aware of this, it happens on Fedora GNOME too, it seems to happen on all Cosmic applications for now, as it also happens with COSMIC Files, Text Editor...

Should I close this since is a Upstream problem it seems?

No don't worry, I could also try to use a third party create like dark-light to make it work but I rather wait for the 'correct' way to handle this.
I don't mind keeping the issue open either, I'll mark it as solved when it gets fixed, eventually.

There seems to be an issue on upstream already:

pop-os/libcosmic#769
