SNAPSHOT build broken

Our SNAPSHOT builds are failing on Bitrise.
The scheduled build is configured to be build from the release 4.1.0 branch.

Going to see if I can reproduce this locally.

I'm in the middle of writing up some javadoc. Going to see if that commit compiles on CI.

Commit was merged with c66cf0f and CI didn't give any warnings in https://www.bitrise.io/build/f613a12a94544be4. Note that this per commit workflow only uses the make android command underneath. Going to kickoff a new SNAPSHOT to validate if the issue has been resolved.

With inspecting the log I'm positive this is the same issue as in #5126 but on the other hand the fixes from there are included in this release branch.

update: I was able to build locally with the export BUILDTYPE=Release and before that I was able to reproduce the issue with the standard debug type. Not sure why this is not working on Bitrise.
