Words to avoid?

We have https://machinetranslate.org/style#no-marketing and https://machinetranslate.org/style#not-too-academic, but we also should avoid marketing and academic language.

We could probably just make a list of words that can almost always be replaced with something more straight:

• enhance → improve, fix
• enhanced → better
• perform → do (unless it's about a theatre)
• offer → support, have
• ...

I can't find anything on this in Wikipedia's Manual of Style, but I bet someone else has already done a good job of explaining this.

And if there's automation for it, even better.
