App can't be opened after running installer while alt-tab was already downloaded #1798
Comments
What do you mean by "the installer"? AltTab is distributed as a zip containing the app ( Given the errors in the crashlog your shared, you seem to have the same issue as #1796: you set a shortcut to an unsupported key, and now AltTab crashes on launch. Could you please run this command in Terminal.app: I also see that:

Yes, I used Homebrew! (I am very new to macOS and don't understand too much.) anton@Antons-MacBook-Pro ~ % defaults read com.lwouis.alt-tab-macos I usually open AltTab from the Applications, however when installing it doesn't ask to be moved into Applications. Also I don't get any notification when launching from another location. I usually don't open it from the Terminal. After giving permissions, I can't open AltTab otherwise as to why am I doing this time. |
I can't confirm you have the exact same problem as #1796. You're also using a German keyboard, yes? i'm closing this ticket. Please see the other one; there are instructions on how to get unstuck 👍 |
Yes, it is a German keyboard. |
Describe the bug
I installed alt-tab and it worked great. Somehow I managed to run the installer again and since then alt-tab doesn't open up anymore. When deleting alt-tab and installing again, the first window that opens up is asking for permissions in order to work properly. As I give alt-tab both permissions, it closes and alt-tab can not be opened.
