model context length configuration

i have ".aider.model.settings.yml" in my home directory with custom context length for specific models, when i run aider in terminal and run those specific models aider recognizes the file and adjusts the context length of the model when using aider composer though it just launches the model with the default 8000 context length and ignores the".aider.model.settings.yml"
