We think in general it's more useful to see the logs within the KFP UI, but Stackdriver does provide additional benefits such as custom queries for logs, so users may find it useful to have easy access to their logs in Stackdriver, even when we can display the pod logs in our UI.

Currently, if KFP is running in GKE and a pipeline component pod is evicted, then we provide a link to the logs in Stackdriver.
