Hi.

I am using this extension for years, thank you. It was always working without any issues for me. On 1st of January 2023 I changed PC to new one and I installed this extension. At the beginning all was fine, but after some days I noticed that it is reporting wrong CPU speed. It stucked at 4000 MHz despite of other tools are reporting base speed at 2200 MHz. I will be glad to help you with debug this issue.

With best regards.

This issue can be closed. It was caused by my overclock configuration. Everything is fine now.

Hello, I am experiencing a similar issue after upgrading from Debian 10 to Debian 12 (Gnome 43.6). The Cpufreq applet works well except when my system is idle; it then shows my CPU's maximum rated frequency.
My system is not overclocked; the CPU is an Xeon X5690 sitting on an Asus P6X58D-E.
