like the title said :)
i mean to be able to use the back and forward buttons of the browser to navigate the steps
that would meany any steps could be linkable and bookmarkable

very basic bookmarkable /#Step_hash ?

There is not out of the box support for that with this plugin, but it should be easy for you to integrate it with something like https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/History_API
