Non-US hash key support

Hi, does Kanata support mapping the non-US hash key?

What does non us hash mean?
on ISO keyboards

• the extra (102st) key on the right of Left-Shift is called 102d
• the key on the left of the return key is the moved \ key

when using non us layout take a read about deflocal keys

The non-US hash key in ISO keyboards (between the return key and single quote) typically sends a different keycode over USB than the backslash key in ANSI keyboards (above the return key). You can see at https://usb.org/sites/default/files/hut1_2.pdf#page=84 that regular backslash has usage ID 31, "Non-US # and ˜" has usage ID 32.

It is possible that Kanata doesn't distinguish between that and backslash (in defsrc); I don't have a way to test it right now hence the question. Thanks for the pointer on deflocal keys, I'll have a look there.

made some tests out of curiosity, but don't think it really helps you:
wether I use ANSI or ISO keyboard autohotkey always reports the same Scan Code 02B for both keys.
Switching between US and DE keyboard language makes no difference regarding Scan Code.
Switching between \| and NUSH in qmk/via makes no difference regarding Scan Code.

I defined it in defsrc as lsgt (less-than-greater-than). This is the same as 102d, also sometimes refered to as the "ISO key".

Edit: I just realised you are probably referring to the \| key sitting above the return key (US ANSI keyboard) or to the left of the ISO-return (ISO keyboards). I think that key has the same code no matter whether it's an ANSI or ISO keyboard.

lsgt or 102d refers to the extra key that ISO boards have, sitting between the left shift and z.
