Problem when exiting a game

If the first game that I play after a restart, is started by a nfc tag and I exit the game using start+select, it won't return to EmulationStation. It just shows me a blank screen and a underscore in the top left corner of the screen. However if the first game is started regular or the nfc tag is read during the boot up of the system everything works fine.

My problem is different from yours but I think it's the same dealing - ES and NFC. When I press the Reset button on my Mini Nespi, it plays the game on the cartridge even though I removed the cartridge. In my case, maybe it has to do with the script that just recalls the last game you played.

Have you tried messing with the settings? If I can remember right, there are some power and reset settings you can customize right on the Settings panel of the Pi Control:
