pg_enum and pg_array plugins running a query per custom type on startup

We're seeing queries like

SELECT typarray, oid
 FROM pg_type
   WHERE (typname = '_')
 LIMIT _

run a lot on every app startup. I've tracked it back to the pg_enum plugin calling pg_array's #register_array_type method for each custom type in a way that causes it to make a query. I've fixed it in a fork which I plan to run in our app to validate it in production but just wanted to raise here in case the maintainers are not already aware.
