This env worked perfectly. Thank you for your hard work! Do you have any recommendations on doing the same thing with HiWorks messenger? It uses non-unicode font so the words are random letters. I installed it by downloading the exe and running it through wine. But it never seems to actually run. I think it may have some dependencies that I can't see or figure out.

I tried this command in the terminal:
wine-stable 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Hiworks\\Messenger\\HiworksMessenger.exe'

But I got the following error:
0288:err:mscoree:CLRRuntimeInfo_GetRuntimeHost Wine Mono is not installed

I installed Wine Mono Runtime 9.3.0 and it shows in the wine applications list.

Now running the same command I get this error:

Unknown heap type: #Schema

I think I've hit my linux knowledge limit here and not sure what to try next.

That is the different Windows application, I don't know what it is. So I can only recommend one thing, that "try to use the latest development branch of Wine".

Linux is a transparent area, where Wine supports the Window application as well.
